Want to get better at memorizing the Bible? Check out a new website called biblememorymadeeasy.org.
Here, you’ll find help for memorizing important Bible facts and verses—like the books of the Bible, the 12 apostles, and the fruit of the Spirit. This is a great resource for the classroom or homeschool family, especially for students who—like me—have difficulty with memorization.
Remembering facts was hard for me while growing up. When I got saved, I wanted to learn the Bible, but my poor memory became an obstacle. Recently, I met the creator of Bible Memory Made Easy—a man named Jerry Lucas. I wish he had been around to help the younger, forgetful me!
This gentle giant is passionate about memorizing the Bible. Before devoting himself to Bible education resources, Jerry had an illustrious sports career. During high school, he earned the title of Mr. Basketball USA in 1957 and 1958. Afterward, he went on to play for Ohio State University and ended up playing 11 seasons in the NBA. He was known for his ability to recognize and remember other players’ habits.
Jerry’s interest and skill at memorization led him to co-author The Memory Book and later, to write several more books on the topic. This earned him the nickname, “Dr. Memory.” He combined this knowledge with his passion for Christ to develop memory aids for learning the Bible.
Jerry just launched his website, “Bible Memory Made Easy.” With his fun and engaging program, you can learn Bible facts and over 135 verses. Find sample lessons and more information at biblememorymadeeasy.org.
